New features introduced in WhatsApp Channels! Now you can send voice messages, polls, and more
Last year, the WhatsApp Channel emerged as a major success for Meta platforms, attracting a large user base. In order to enhance the interactive experience for both administrators and followers, WhatsApp is introducing more user-friendly features. Although these features were previously announced, it appears that they are now beginning to be implemented for users. The most significant change in the upcoming update will be a revamped interface for sharing channel content as a status update. To learn more about the forthcoming features of WhatsApp Channels, read on.
Features of WhatsApp Channels
According to a report by The Verge, WhatsApp will introduce new features for channels such as voice messages, polls, add up to 15 additional admins, and a new interface for channel updates. Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny first noticed the voice messaging feature, which allows administrators to share voice notes. In addition, channels allow admins to share polls on different topics and opinions just like we do on LinkedIn or Telegram to collect opinions from our followers.
The new WhatsApp Channels feature also includes sharing channel updates as their status, just like we share messages on our Instagram stories. These features are said to be rolled out globally, so you might see this feature on your smartphones very soon. Wabetainfo also reports a new interface for channel updates, ultimately improving the user experience and Meta’s commitment to making its platform more interactive and useful for its users.
How to share WhatsApp channel updates to status?
According to reports, in order to share a channel update on WhatsApp, users just need to use the forwarding feature that they use to share messages with other people or groups. As of now, it is unclear how exactly the sharing feature will work, but what is certain is that it may soon appear on your smartphone with an app update.
WhatsApp Channel has been slow to bring updates, but now it seems that the aforementioned feature will improve the user experience in various ways, especially in terms of interaction.
