WhatsApp Unveils New Emoji Keyboard
According to reports, Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is introducing a revamped emoji keyboard that enables users to expand their view by scrolling upwards.
“With the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.12.19 update available on the Google Play Store, select users can try out the redesigned keyboard,” WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo reported.
With the introduction of this new feature, users can now scroll up the keyboard, allowing users to get a wider view. In addition, the tabs to access the GIF, sticker and avatar sections have been moved higher.
Some beta testers may also try out the new media sharing and emoji keyboard button arrangement. According to some reports, some users may face certain minor bugs, but they will surely be fixed in future updates
The redesigned keyboard is currently available to some beta testers and is expected to roll out to more users in the coming weeks, according to the report.
WhatsApp also plans to introduce a new interface to the group settings screen on iOS. Users who are group admins and have installed the latest update from the App Store can now try out this redesigned screen.
In addition to the revamped user interface, the Meta-owned messaging app also introduces a new feature called “Add other participants”.
This feature allows group admins to choose who has the authority to add new members to the group. It’s worth noting that users who don’t currently have access to this feature may get it gradually over the coming weeks.
The updated group settings screen is now available for iOS users who have installed the latest WhatsApp update from the App Store. Additionally, it will be rolled out to users who are part of the beta. Also, regularly update your WhatsApp from the App Store and TestFlight to get the feature in the future if you don’t have it after installing this update.
