WhatsApp Introduces New Call-back Feature For Missed Calls: Here’s What You Need To Know
WhatsApp users worldwide can look forward to a new call-back feature for missed calls, according to reports. The popular instant messaging app, owned by Meta, has introduced the feature to increase the visibility of missed calls. The call-back feature is available after installing one of the latest versions of WhatsApp beta for Windows from the Microsoft Store.
“WhatsApp continues its work to introduce bug fixes and new features to the native app for Windows. After introducing screen sharing support, WhatsApp is now adding some minor improvements to missed calls. This new addition is a ‘Call back’ button that appears in the event message when a call is not answered,” WABetaInfo reported .
According to a screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the “Call back” button now appears in the event message generated when a call is not answered on WhatsApp. This button provides users with a quick way to retrieve a missed call with a single tap. By introducing this feature, WhatsApp wants to better highlight missed calls and the ability to call back.
According to the report, the “Call Back” button provides a clear visual indicator in the caller’s chat that the call has been missed. In fact, some users may not know that they can quickly call a contact by clicking on the Missed Call message event.
With this button, the messaging application owned by Meta wants to clarify that the messaging event is dedicated to the possibility of calling back after a missed call.
This feature is currently being tested by select beta users and will be rolled out gradually to more users over the next few days. If you don’t see the update in the Microsoft Store yet, rest assured that it will soon be available to a wider audience.
