WhatsApp Unveils New Interface To Promote Status Updates: Get the Details
According to reports, WhatsApp Business, which is owned by Meta, is set to launch an improved interface for promoting status updates on its platform. The feature is currently being tested by a select group of beta users who have installed the latest update, WhatsApp Business 23.12.0.73.
The WhatsApp Business app introduced the boost mode shortcut feature in March. By using this shortcut, after publishing a new status update, businesses can quickly share it on Facebook and Instagram to attract new customers.
“However, WhatsApp has also worked to improve the interface of the section that appears when the feature is enabled, and some beta testers can now try it after installing the latest WhatsApp Business 23.12.0.73 update available in the TestFlight app,” WABetaInfo said.
According to the report, WhatsApp redesigned the section that appears after using the boost mode shortcut. The screenshot shared by WABetaInfo provides additional information, such as the ability to reach new customers and lead them to chat with us on WhatsApp by boosting our status updates.
With this new interface, WhatsApp wants to make it even clearer what “boost mode” means. A business that interacts with this feature will immediately understand that it allows the creation of a sponsored post on either Facebook or Instagram to reach and attract new customers through a dedicated click-to-chat button on WhatsApp.
When a status update is promoted, it becomes a promotional message on Facebook or Instagram. However, it will not be shared with other WhatsApp users as this feature exclusively provides optional advertising features on Instagram and Facebook, according to the report.
Also, this is a unique business tool, so it is not available for regular WhatsApp accounts. Part’s new interface, which allows users to promote their status updates, is available to some beta testers who install WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, and will roll out to even more people in the coming weeks.
