AI Education Programme in Indian Languages Now Available Online for Free
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan unveiled AI for India 2.0, a complimentary online Artificial Intelligence skill training course in Indian languages, to commemorate World Youth Skills Day.
A joint initiative of Skill India and GUVI, this online program accredited by NCVET and IIT Madras equips the youth with frontier skills. GUVI, a startup incubated by IIT Madras, is a technology platform that enables learning technology in vernacular languages. This program is curated in 9 Indian languages.
Pradhan, minister for education and skill development and entrepreneurship, said technology should not be a prisoner of language and called for technology courses in Indian languages.
He added that this is a good start to break down language barriers in technology education and to secure the future of our Yuva Shakti, especially in rural areas, an official statement said.
The minister also stated that India is a technology-savvy country and as an example the success story of the introduction of digital payments in India.
He expressed his satisfaction that GUVI has taken this initiative to educate the bottom of the pyramid population in cutting edge technology.
