Good news for WhatsApp users, the popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta is reportedly rolling out a feature to schedule calls in group chats. This feature allows users to schedule and automatically notify all other participants of new upcoming group calls.
“The feature was under development in the previous announcement, but thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.17.7 update available from the Google Play Store, some beta testers can finally try the ability to schedule group calls,” WABetaInfo , a website that follows WhatsApp, reported.
According to the report, some users may be able to schedule group calls within their groups. All you have to do is tap the call button to see if the feature is enabled on your account. Users can choose the subject of the call and the date of the scheduled call.
In addition, it is also possible to choose the type of group call, whether it is video or audio. After scheduling the group call, an event is automatically added to the group conversation, and the person who ended the call is notified 15 minutes before the group call starts.
