WhatsApp Introduces Ability to Create and Share AI-Generated Stickers
WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app owned by Meta, is reportedly rolling out a feature to create and share artificial intelligence (AI) stickers to improve user experience on the platform.
“WhatsApp is now focusing on improving the communication experience. Especially thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta version
After the Android 2.23.17.14 update, we discovered that a very limited group of beta testers may be able to create and share AI stickers,” WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo reported.
According to the report, a new button “Create” may be available when opening the sticker tab keyboard. When you select this option, the user will be prompted to enter a description that will be used to create the label. WhatsApp presents a set of AI stickers generated based on the previously entered description and the user can share which sticker to share in the conversation.
All stickers are created using the protected technology provided by Meta. You can control the stickers generated by artificial intelligence. If you think something is inappropriate, you can report it. This feature is optional and AI stickers are easily recognizable. Recipients can know when the sticker has been made using Meta’s artificial intelligence technology.
According to the report, this feature brings a couple of benefits to the user experience. By providing a description to create AI stickers, users can create stickers that are highly personalized and relevant to their interests, experiences or conversations.
It is mentioned that personalized stickers can make communication more enjoyable and interesting. Additionally, users don’t need to have advanced design skills or access to external tools, as they can simply enter a description to trigger the creation of labels related to those terms.
The feature to create and share AI stickers is available to a very limited number of beta testers who install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android and will roll out over the coming weeks.
