Little Nightmares III to Offer Co-Op Play in The Nowhere in 2024

Little Nightmares III has been confirmed to be in development, and it will introduce a two-player co-op feature, a first for the series. The game is scheduled for release in 2024 and will be available on PC, Switch, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement was made by Supermassive Games during the opening of Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Little Nightmares III looks like a nightmare if you’re a twisted horror fiend. The game’s reveal trailer features two shrunken, doll-like characters called Low and Alone navigating an oversized world full of horrors—it’s a bit like a dark version of It Takes Two, at least in this original video. Players must make their way past vile creatures and murderous monsters and finally get out of The Nowhere.

Here’s how publisher Bandai Namco describes the new game on the PlayStation Blog: “Low and Alone are each equipped with their own iconic items that will help you solve various puzzles and defend yourself against new and dangerous challenges that await you. be able to interact with the world with Low’s bows and arrows and Alone’s with a wrench, but you’ll also need your wits, tenacity and creativity to survive your journey through the spiral.”

The game isn’t just a co-op game – it also has a single-player mode with an AI partner. The cooperative is online, especially (sorry, couch potatoes).
