Apple Watch Ultra 2 Display Issues Investigated by Company

Apple recently released the next generation of its Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 smartwatches with new features and updates. However, just a month after the launch, the company is now investigating the screen flickering of these new Apple watches.

According to an internal service memo shared with Apple’s authorized service providers, the flickering issue will be fixed in an upcoming update.

“The memo doesn’t specify which Apple Watch models are affected, but the issue appears to be most prevalent in the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models released last month,” MacRumors reports.

There have been customer complaints about this issue on the MacRumors forums, Reddit, and Apple’s support community website. The problem appears to be present in all versions of watchOS 10, including the latest watchOS 10.0.2 release.

The report also revealed that Apple recommends that service providers not repair problematic watches. Instead, customers are encouraged to ensure their Apple Watch software is always up to date.

This suggests that Apple may release a fix for the issue in a future watchOS update. It’s unclear whether Apple has fixed the issue in watchOS 10.1, which is expected to be released next week.

As a temporary solution, Apple suggests that customers disable Always On mode in the Settings app under Display & Brightness > Always On.

The problems aren’t just limited to Apple watches, with iPhone users also reporting a mysterious bug that causes certain iPhone models to temporarily turn off at night.

In a thread on the social networking site Reddit, a user claimed that two separate ‌iPhone‌ alarms in his home were not going off. Several other users also faced similar issues. According to MacRumors, some of the issues may be related to the iPhone turning off at night.

You can find out if your iPhone turned off at night by opening the Settings app, going to Battery and checking the 24-hour charge history. If you notice a gap in the data, it means that your iPhone was turned off for a certain period of time.
