Facebook Messenger now supports games during video calls
Facebook Gaming has announced that users can now play their favorite games during video calls on Messenger.
“This new shared experience in Messenger makes it easy to play games with friends and family during a video call, allowing you to deepen connections with friends and family by engaging in conversations and gaming at the same time,” the company said in a statement. blog post.
The tech giant said Messenger video calls will have 14 free games on iOS, Android and the web with no installation required.
The games include a mix of brand new games like Bombay Play’s “Card Wars” and Coatsink’s “Exploding Kittens” as well as fan favorites like FRVR’s “Mini Golf FRVR” and Zynga’s “Words With Friends.”
While each game supports a different number of players, most games can only be played by two people, the company said.
The games can be accessed by starting a video call in Messenger, tapping the group mode icon in the middle, and then tapping the “Play” icon.
Meanwhile, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the company will roll out its paid Facebook and Instagram subscription plans for US users.
Launched first in Australia and New Zealand, the “Meta Verified” plan offers enhanced etiquette, better protection against impersonation and direct access to customer support.
The subscription plan costs $11.99 per month online and $14.99 per month mobile.
