Find Your Messages Quickly With WhatsApp’s New Date Search Feature On Android!
WhatsApp, the instant messaging application owned by Meta, is reportedly developing a feature that searches for messages by date. This feature allows users to search for messages by specific dates, making it easier to navigate through the message history.
“This feature was limited to WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for iOS, so Android users can’t access this feature. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.24.16 update available on Google Play Store, we found that WhatsApp is finally working on the same feature for the Android app,” WABetaInfo reported.
A screenshot shared in the report revealed that a new calendar button will be available in the search bar of your chats in an upcoming update to the app. This calendar button certainly simplifies selecting a specific date to search for posts shared on that date.
This improvement finally brings a sense of parity to Android users and ensures that they can benefit from this handy feature just like their iOS and WhatsApp Web counterparts.
