Five AI Chatbots That Became Popular in 2023, Marking the Year of AI

With the end of 2023, it’s hard to argue that only one trend in the world of technology really made its mark now and into the future. Artificial intelligence (AI) is by no means a new term, and we’ve seen its power with the likes of Google Assistant, Siri, and other AI helpers. But thanks to a company called OpenAI, artificial intelligence has entered the world in a new avatar that could spearhead future technology.

You would have assumed that tech giants like Google and Apple would play a big part in its growth, but these companies have been called into action after the success of ChatGPT, which was first offered to Microsoft. But ChatGPT’s success was hardly ignored, and over the next 12 months we’ve seen different versions of AI chatbots and how they could simplify people’s work in different industries.

5 Popular AI Chatbots Coming in 2023

ChatGPT

OpenAI’s creation is at the top of the table, and it has, for its purposes, led to the excitement of the artificial intelligence field and an event once again for everyone. ChatGPT has now reached version 4.0, and its successor is already in the works. AI chatbot is also part of Microsoft products such as Bing and Microsoft Edge browser. ChatGPT also proved its mettle by offering human-level performance and ever-improving response accuracy. ChatGPT’s game changer was its access to the Internet, which made the AI model learn faster and progress much faster than most people expected. You even have a ChatGPT Plus version that doubles the AI chatbot responses and features.

Bing Chat

Microsoft got its first experiences with ChatGPT thanks to an agreement with OpenAI, which has led to the birth of Bing Chat. The AI chatbot is integrated with the search engine Bing, which is also available on the Edge browser. The company has added its own dose of Ai to give it some originality, which comes in the form of added songs and other visual elements to the mix.

Google Bard AI

Google’s AI push has been slow, but as the company has pointed out, it’s been done on purpose. BardAI is gaining attention, and now that the Gemini AI model is among us, the development of BardAI is gathering steam. Google has promised that its AI goals won’t come at the cost of inaccurate answers, which is why most of its AI models are still in training and feedback mode.

Grok AI

Twitter or X, whatever you call it, but the Elon Musk-owned platform is also part of the AI racetrack now with Grok AI. Musk has touted the Grok AI chatbot as a better alternative to ChatGPT and Google’s Bard AI because it can provide answers to “spicy questions” that Musk claims other popular chatbots refrain from answering. Grok can also go through X (Twitter) and use real-time information from the platform to respond accordingly. Elon Musk has previous experience in AI thanks to his association with OpenAI, so you can’t deny the pedigree.

DALL-E 3

Another significant development in the world of artificial intelligence comes in the form of DALL-E 3, which is also part of the OpenAI armoury. DALL-E 3 is also a text-to-image AI software capable of creating visual images of complex prompts, which was not the case with the first and second generation DALL-E. OpenAI managed to expand its availability to Bing Chat and ChatGPT Plus services for paid users.
