Google Photos Offers Quick Creation of Highlight Videos
There must have been many times when you wanted to create a quick highlight video for your social media feed but felt too lazy to get started. Or maybe there are too many videos and photos from a certain vacation and you just want your phone to pick the best ones. Well, with new AI-powered features in Google Photos, you can create quick highlight videos on the fly — and it won’t take much time.
This could be a recent holiday, your child’s birthday, or perhaps if you want to make a video with a short summary of an event or activity. The feature is called “Highlight Video” and is available in the Google Photos app.
However, the feature is not yet available to everyone and has started rolling out on Android and iOS. It should gradually reach everyone in stages.
To use the Highlights video feature, follow the steps below:
- Open Google Photos and tap the + icon in the upper right corner.
- Select “Highlight video” from the menu.
- Now you can search for specific people, places and even specify the time or date you want a video for.
- That’s it! Google does the rest for you, including selecting the best clips and photos, using appropriate music, and organizing your media files for you. If you want to adjust the location of a specific file, you can do so.
Overall, this could be a useful tool for someone who isn’t looking for professionally edited videos. Instead, they just want something quick, fun, and easy without getting into full-on video editing
