Google Play Sees Record-Breaking In-App Spending of $67.5 Billion Globally, India is the Biggest Market: Report
According to a report released on Thursday, the in-app consumer spend in the global mobile market reached an all-time high of $67.5 billion in the first half of this year. Additionally, there were a staggering 76.8 billion app downloads recorded across iOS and Google Play during the same period.

“The return to positive growth in the first half of the year is an encouraging signal that the decline in mobile spending in 2022 may have represented a temporary pause in the long-term continued growth of the mobile app market,” the report states.
Chinese short video app TikTok became the first app to surpass $1 billion in spending in a quarter in Q1 2023, and also became the first app to surpass $2 billion, garnering $2.1 billion in spending in the first half of 2023.
