Instagram to Introduce AI Chatbot in Coming Months
Artificial intelligence chatbots are becoming increasingly common, and it appears that Instagram may soon be introducing one as well. Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer, has revealed that the platform is developing an AI agent that can provide advice and answer questions. The chatbot is expected to offer up to 30 different personalities to choose from, according to screenshots shared by Paluzzi and reported by ZDNet.
A chatbot can offer help to those who find writing messages difficult. It also looks like you can bring a chatbot into a conversation you’re having with someone by mentioning @.

It’s too early to say when or even if Instagram will roll out this feature, but there’s no smoke without fire. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in February that the company had a team working on “AI personas” for Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. Paluzzi also has a great record. He found evidence of a paid verification system on Instagram just two weeks before Meta announced it.
