Meta Introduces AudioCraft AI to Generate Music from Text
Meta Platforms unveiled a new open-source AI tool named AudioCraft on Wednesday. This tool aims to assist users in generating music and audio by utilizing text prompts.
The AI tool is bundled into three models, AudioGen, EnCodec and MusicGen, and works with music, audio, compression and generation, Meta said.
MusicGen is trained using company-owned and specially licensed music, it added.
Artists and industry experts have raised concerns about copyright infringement as machine learning software recognizes and copies patterns from data collected online.
Earlier this year, Alphabet Inc. introduced its own experimental audio-generating AI tool called MusicLM.
