Microsoft’s new Bing adds OpenAI’s DALL-E AI to turn text into images: All details here
After announcing a new AI-powered Bing and Microsoft Edge last month, US tech giant Microsoft has announced that its AI-enhanced Bing browser now includes Bing Image Creator image creation technology based on OpenAI’s DALL-E deep learning model.
“Today, we’re taking the chat experience to the next level by making the new Bing more visual. We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing Bing Image Creator, new AI-powered visual stories, and updated data cards to the new preview of Bing and Edge,” the company wrote in a blog post.
Using an advanced version of OpenAI’s DALL∙E model, Bing Image Creator lets you create an image simply by using your own words to describe the image you want. Now you can create both written and visual content in one place in the chat.
Designed to generate digital content using natural language descriptions, DALL-E has been a popular imaging tool for some time.
For Bing Preview users, Bing Image Creator is fully integrated into the Bing chat experience and will initially be enabled in creative mode.
– Write a description of the image, add context such as location or action, and choose an art style, Image Creator will create an image from your imagination.
– Just type something like “draw picture” or “create picture” as a prompt in chat.
Bing Image Creator requires access to Bing Preview or the new Microsoft Edge.
Not all Bing Preview users will have access to Image Creator right away, as Microsoft says it will be rolled out in stages. It’s available on both the desktop and Bing mobile apps for those who have been granted access.
Bing Image Creator is also available in Microsoft Edge from the Image Creator icon in the sidebar for both desktop and mobile users around the world.
