OnePlus Nord CE 4 to be Launched in India in April, Date Confirmed

OnePlus is set to expand its budget-friendly Nord smartphone series in India. The Chinese smartphone maker has revealed that the OnePlus Nord CE 4 is set to launch in the country on April 1, 2024 at 6:30 PM.

This new smartphone is the successor to OnePlus Nord CE3 5G and Nord CE2 and is expected to bring improved features and design. Additionally, OnePlus has provided a glimpse of the upcoming device through a published photo, giving enthusiasts a peek at its design aesthetic.

According to the image shared by the company, the still unlaunched OnePlus Nord CE 4 smartphone has two rear cameras placed in a rectangle. The smartphone is expected to cause significant competition for smartphone manufacturers under 25,000 rubles.

Featuring the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, the OnePlus Nord CE4 promises improved CPU and GPU performance as well as power savings. The smartphone is offered in two color options: Dark Chrome and Celadon Marble.

According to OnePlus, the new chipset improves CPU speed by 15%, GPU performance by 50% and power efficiency by 20%, elevating the OnePlus Nord CE4 above its predecessors while maintaining the overall user experience and design.

The phone comes with two cameras and a ring flashlight. The back has a marble-like appearance reminiscent of the previous new generation OnePlus devices. The sides of the phone are flat, and the image suggests that it also has something like an IR blaster.

According to some leaked photos, the phone may feature a selfie camera hole in the center of the display, as well as an AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint sensor, according to Business Today.

Previously, the model was spotted on the Camera FV-5 platform. It is supposed to include a main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, although it typically takes photos at 12.6-megapixel resolution to save storage space. The main camera is expected to have an aperture of f/1.8 and is equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) for smooth shooting. In addition, the phone is rumored to have a 16-megapixel front camera for taking selfies.

The soon-to-be-launched OnePlus Nord CE 4 will be available online at OnePlus.in and Amazon.in, just like all previous OnePlus smartphones.

According to OnePlus, it has reported 33 percent annual growth in 2023, strengthening its position in the affordable premium market. The brand’s smartphone shipments increased by 13% year-on-year, with the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite being one of the most shipped models. The new Nord CE competes on the market with the newly launched Nothing Phone 2a and iQOO Z9 models.
