OnePlus To Unveil OxygenOS 14 Powered By Android 14 On September 25
Chinese tech giant OnePlus has announced that its latest operating system, OxygenOS 14, will be released globally on September 25. According to the brand, OxygenOS 14 is one of the first operating systems based on Android 14 and introduces a set of features designed to enhance the user experience.
“OnePlus is committed to delivering fast, smooth and stable OxygenOS to our users. With OnePlus’ latest innovations, OxygenOS 14 will be the smartest and most intuitive software product in OnePlus’ history,” said Kinder Liu, President and CEO of OnePlus.
The new OxygenOS 14 also brings the “Trinity Engine” performance platform that promotes integration between hardware and software. The Trinity Engine is claimed to meet industry-wide challenges in terms of power efficiency, multi-tasking capability and consistently fast and smooth performance.
Under the hood of the engine are six innovative technologies, including CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, ROM Vitalization, HyperBoost, HyperTouch and HyperRendering. Combined, these technologies provide a fast and smooth experience in scenarios such as multitasking, intense Mobile gaming and long-term use.
OnePlus devices receiving the OxygenOS update have not been confirmed yet. The latest flagship, the OnePlus 11, is expected to be the first to receive this update. Meanwhile, OnePlus is also launching its first foldable device called OnePlus Open very soon, and the company is slowly laying the groundwork to get people excited. The OnePlus Open is said to be a challenger to Samsung’s foldable lineup, but the company seems to be taking a different route when it comes to pricing the product.
New leaked reports suggest that the OnePlus Open could be priced under Rs 1.2 lakh, which is around Rs 40,000 lower than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 that was launched a few weeks ago. Folding phones are slowly becoming more accessible and except for the Techno fold which costs less than Rs 90,000, most other models are over a lakh.
