OnePlus Unveils Foldable Phone in India
OnePlus is launching a foldable phone called OnePlus Open which we all know. According to rumors, the device could be announced on October 19 globally and also for the Indian market. We’ve seen product teasers and a supposed accidental reveal of the device in the hands of a famous celebrity.
But there are other tidbits about the OnePlus Open that have come to light recently, including Oppo confirming its stake in the development of a OnePlus foldable device. But there’s a reason people are excited to see the first OnePlus foldable phone this year, and here’s a look at everything we know so far.
The official teaser reveals more
OnePlus has officially shared its teaser for the OnePlus Open without clearly naming the device. But as you can see here, the high profile of the phone looks like the alarm slider that OnePlus is known for in the market.

Oppo has proven its foldable credentials in recent years with the Find N Fold series and Find N Flip series. Now, it’s likely to lend its expertise to the OnePlus team and build a solid foldable product for markets outside of China.
OnePlus Open Expected price
OnePlus is unlikely to compete with Samsung’s foldable lineup, which means the brand could take a more aggressive approach with its foldable device. According to earlier reports, the launch price of the OnePlus Open could be close to Rs 1.20 lakh in the market, but now another leak in Europe suggests a price tag of around Rs 1.40 lakh, which easily undercuts the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. OnePlus usually keeps a different pricing strategy for their products in India, so maybe the official price may be much different from what they have.
OnePlus Open foldable features Expected
OnePlus Open could have all the bells and whistles you get on flagship devices these days. It is powered by a Snapdragon Gen 2 chipset with either 12GB or 16GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature a 2K AMOLED internal display and a high-quality external display that should offer a 120Hz refresh rate. OnePlus is expected to continue the Hasselblad association of Open’s cameras, where we could have a triple rear camera system.
You’ll get it with OxygenOS, likely an Android 14-based iteration, but we hope OnePlus makes it compatible with the foldable device. The phone may have a high capacity battery which should provide you fast charging support like other OnePlus phones in the market.
