PlayStation Showcase 2023 Live Stream: Reveals to Expect, How to Watch Live in India & More
Sony is expected to reveal a lot of upcoming first- and third-party titles during the upcoming PlayStation Showcase — hopefully full of new IPs, sequels to critically acclaimed titles like Ghost of Tsushima, new PSVR 2 games, and maybe even a remake of the Metal Gear Solid title.
Sony Showcases tend to have a lot of new announcements and run much longer compared to Sony State of Play events. This time, the event is expected to exceed the hour mark and will be live on various platforms including YouTube and Twitch.
How and when to watch the PlayStation Showcase live:
First, the PlayStation Showcase will be broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch – starting at 4pm EDT/1pm PDT on Wednesday, May 24th.
Due to time zone difference in India, PlayStation Showcase will be released on 25th. May at 1:30. So yes, Indians have to sacrifice their sleep.

What to expect from PlayStation Showcase 2023:
With the timings unknown, let’s discuss what to expect from Sony’s biggest gaming show in recent years. As the release of Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a PS5 exclusive, approaches, it’s highly likely that we’ll get to see the first gameplay footage and know the release date. Speaking of Insomniac Games, we might also get an extended look at Wolverine, which has a 2024 release date.
Also, since Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding was already announced at The Game Awards 2022, we can expect Sony to show more of the game – maybe even some gameplay.
As for surprises, there have been rumors circulating in the gaming community suggesting that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater may be on the way. So we might just get a trailer – if it really is.
Sony has also said that the PlayStation Showcase will also focus on PSVR 2 and upcoming games for the platform. The recently released Resident Evil 4 remake may be getting a PSVR 2 version – considering previous Resident Evil games like Resident Evil Village got a VR version after release.
Overall, it will be PlayStation’s biggest event since PlayStation Showcase 2021, and since it’s been almost two years, Sony might have some surprises in store.
