Pre-Booking Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8, and Pixel Watch 2 in India: Here’s How
Google has announced the latest Pixel devices which include the latest Pixel 8 series smartphones – Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro and the new Pixel Watch 2 smartwatch in India. All new Pixel devices are now available for pre-order in the country.
Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 pre-booking in India
Google Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 in India. Customers can avail a bank discount of Rs 8,000 and trade-in bonus of Rs 3,000 on the purchase of this new Pixel device. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8 Pro is priced higher at Rs 1,06,999. However, buyers can avail a bank discount of Rs 9,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 4,000.
On the other hand, Google Pixel Watch 2 is priced at Rs 39,900 in the country. All Pixel devices will be available for purchase from October 12 on Flipkart in India. Interested buyers in India can visit Flipkart and pre-book the new Pixel 8 series smartphones and the new Pixel Watch 2.
Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2: Specifications
The Pixel 8 comes in Hazel, Rose and Obsidian color options, while the Pixel 8 Pro comes in three colors – Bay, Porcelain and Obsidian. The Pixel Watch 2 is also available in Polished Silver/Bay, Matte Black/Obsidian and other color options.
The Google Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro has a larger 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. The Pixel 8 series is powered by Google’s custom Tensor G3 chipset with Titan M2 security processor. Both devices have the latest Android 14 operating system. As for the battery, the Pixel 8 is backed by a 4,5775 mAh battery with 27W fast charging, and the Pixel 8 Pro is backed by a 5,050 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
Both the Google Pixel 8 Pro and the Google Pixel 8 come with Bluetooth version 5.3, Face ID, an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68 rating. In addition, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro differ in size and weight. The Pixel 8 is smaller, measuring 5.92 x 2.79 x 0.35 inches and weighing 187 grams. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro is larger, measuring 6.4 x 3.01 x 0.34 inches and weighing 213 grams. The Pixel 8 Pro also comes with seven years of OS, security and Feature Drop updates.
In terms of cameras, the Pixel 8 has a dual camera setup on the back that includes a 50-megapixel wide camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro has a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with Super Rez Zoom up to 30X. Both devices have a 10.5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Last but not least, the Google Pixel Watch 2 retains the same screen size as the first generation Pixel Watch, featuring an OLED display with 320 PPI and 1000 nits of peak brightness. The watch now has a new faster Qualcomm 5100 quad-core processor. With the new Pixel Watch 2, Google has improved its exercise tracking capabilities with new multi-path sensors, and the watch also has a revamped Fitbit app that offers a bunch of new tabs and new AI features.
