Samsung Galaxy S23 Users Get Early Access to One UI 6 Features
Samsung has initiated a beta program for Galaxy S23 owners, granting them the opportunity to be early adopters of One UI 6 and explore its features. The program is open to participants from the United States, Germany, and South Korea, with Samsung encouraging feedback to enhance the user experience. The tech giant aims to incorporate suggested changes to create a more immersive and user-friendly interface for all users.
The company promises a more modern look for the new user interface. It rearranged the quick panel layout and added more shortcuts on one screen to give people faster access to the features they use the most. If users want to go to the entire quick panel, they can swipe down once from the top right corner of the screen instead of having to swipe down twice. And if they just want to adjust the screen brightness, they no longer need to open the whole quick panel – the setting is now available in a compact version of the panel, which appears by swiping down once from the top of the phone.
In addition to these changes, One UI 6 gives users a way to set different lock screens in different states, “like a soothing photo of a forest in hibernation,” the company suggests. Users will also find a new camera widget that allows them to pre-select recording locations for each mode to use for a cleaner and more organized gallery.
Samsung has historically given its Galaxy S customers access to its upcoming skins based on the latest Android platform. The beta program for One UI 6 opens today, and as before, Galaxy S23 owners in the three countries mentioned above can participate by submitting their registration through the Samsung Members app.
