Truecaller has launched a new AI feature that automatically blocks all spam calls, providing increased security to users.

Truecaller has developed a new feature powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to help users get rid of spam calls. The new feature, which is part of the Max update, blocks any calls that aren’t from an approved contact or that are determined by its AI algorithm to be spam. The feature, available exclusively on the Android app, offers better protection against spam and scammers.

The new feature rejects any calls that the AI deems as spam, regardless of whether they are listed in the company’s database. In the past, the choice to block a certain number was made based on how it appeared in the company’s database, as well as proactive screening of the person.

Additionally, Apple prohibits Truecaller and other caller ID services from directly analyzing and blocking spam calls, so this new feature is only for Truecaller Premium users on Android devices. Additionally, the new features come less than a month after Truecaller debuted call recordings and AI-powered transcriptions in India.

While the feature warns customers that they may be missing out on some legitimate calls, and the company promises to listen to user input, the company has not disclosed its process for identifying spam calls. Users can report calls as spam, although it is unclear whether Truecaller uses other methods to identify such numbers on its own.

AI spam blocking function in Truecaller: Instructions for use

– First, make sure you have subscribed to Truecaller premium.

– Go to Truecaller app – Settings – Select Block.

– Now you can choose the protection level; Click on the Max option to enable the AI anti-spam feature.

Truecaller Premium Subscription in India: Price Details

Truecaller Premium is available in four different levels: Connect, Assistant, Assistant Family and Gold. Prices for these subscriptions range from Rs 179 per month for the Connect tier to Rs 299 for the Assistant Family tier. Meanwhile, annual costs start at Rs 539 for the Connect tier and go up to Rs 5,000 for the Gold tier.
