These Users Can Now Access New Channel Pages on YouTube TV App
YouTube has released a new look for content producers’ channels in its TV application. The goal is to improve the user experience and make the content more accessible on the big screen.
New features include a more modern look, improved function buttons and the ability to play video content.
In its video about the changes made to content providers’ pages, YouTube said that the update focuses on providing a more immersive look and easier access to Subscription.
The new design comes after the company revealed new data showing that the number of content creators using television for the majority of their viewing time has grown by more than 400 percent over the past three years.
“Viewers want everything in one place, from live sports to BBC to Khan Academy to NikkieTutorials. And they’re watching YouTube the way we used to sit together watching traditional TV shows — on the biggest screen in the house with friends and family,” YouTube CEO Neal Mohan said in a blog post.
According to the company, views of YouTube Shorts on connected televisions have increased by more than 100 percent between January and September 2023.
The company also noted that viewers worldwide now watch an average of more than a billion hours of YouTube content on their TVs every day.
Nielsen, the world’s leading producer of insights, data and analytics, has crowned YouTube the number one streaming platform in the US in terms of watch time for one full year.
