Here’s How WhatsApp Allows You to ‘PIN’ Chats for a Maximum of One Month
WhatsApp chats are getting a new boost this week, with users now able to pin their chats and not just contacts to their main feed. WhatsApp users have had the option to pin contacts to the top for a long time, but now the messaging app gives them the pinning option in one-on-one chats or group chats. “Pinned messages allow you to easily highlight important messages in group or 1:1 chats. This helps save users time so they can find current messages more easily,” WhatsApp explains in a blog post.
The good thing about the new feature is that you can also pin messages like text, polls, pictures and emoticons. The messaging app keeps these pinned chats end-to-end encrypted like all other messages in the app.
WhatsApp continues to add new features to its users that somehow help people engaged on the platform and also bring new features to the world of WhatsApp. Channels have recently become a new addition that could become a possible way for WhatsApp and Meta to make money in the near future. Going back to pin chats, WhatsApp allows people to set a limit on how long they want a single chat at the top of the screen.
