WhatsApp Introduces AI-Powered Feature to Respond to User Questions

The popular instant messaging application WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is reportedly developing a new feature that responds to support inquiries with messages generated by artificial intelligence (AI).

“Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.8 update available on the Google Play Store, we found that WhatsApp plans to improve the quality of its service by introducing AI-generated messages to better support users in the future,” WABetaInfo reported.

According to the report, the Meta-owned app can help users by sending AI-generated messages using Meta’s secure service. Although this feature is still under development, it already promises to improve support by providing more relevant and useful answers to support inquiries in the future.

According to the report, this feature is expected to improve user interaction, minimize response times and ensure a more efficient support experience, benefiting both WhatsApp users and customer service.

“AI-generated messages can be a useful addition to WhatsApp’s customer support as they can provide more personalized and effective solutions to user queries. We believe this would also provide users with instant answers to their queries even outside of normal business hours,” WABetaInfo said.

The feature to respond to support inquiries with AI-generated messages is under development and will be available in a future update to the app, the report said.

In related news, the instant messaging app is also developing a new feature that will allow channel owners to add new administrators. WhatsApp Channels is a one-way broadcasting tool that provides a private way to receive updates from individuals and organizations within the app.

New admins can help increase content by making the channel more active and effective and ensuring that content is always updated regularly. This advantage becomes particularly significant as the size or activity of the channel increases.
