Xbox Game Pass to Feature Capcom’s ‘Exoprimal’
If you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, you’ll have a variety of great options for summer gaming. Microsoft recently announced that Exoprimal, Capcom’s dinosaur shooter, will be accessible to Game Pass members on Xbox, PC, and the cloud starting from July 14th. If you were unsure about purchasing this PvE/PvP game without trying it first or had doubts about the beta version, you won’t necessarily need to worry anymore.
Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V is also making its third appearance on Game Pass, albeit only for Xbox and streaming – unfortunately, no downloads for PC this time. There’s not much to add about the decades-old classic at this point, but it’s probably worth a look if for some reason you haven’t played GTA V before, or if you’re just missing the escapades of Michael, Franklin and Trevor.
Other additions include adventure game pioneer Ron Gilbert’s The Cave (July 18 for cloud and Xbox), Insurgency: Sandstorm (July 11 for PC), McPixel 3 (July 6 for all platforms), Common’hood (July 11 for all platforms) and Techtonica preview (July 18, all platforms). However, you may want to play Spelunky 2 soon, as the side-scrolling cave explorer is leaving Game Pass on July 15th.
These arrivals may not be as sweet as Sony’s free PlayStation Plus games in July, including Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Alan Wake Remastered. However, this is not true every month and it is clear that there are different goals this time. Microsoft is hoping to bring in people looking for release-day games and longtime favorites. Sony, on the other hand, is choosing well-known games that highlight Microsoft’s attempt to buy Activision Blizzard.
