YouTube Introduces Volume Adjustment Option
Some users have recently noticed that YouTube has introduced a new feature called ‘Stable Volume’ without much fanfare.
The feature was spotted by a few users, including Redditor and YouTuber M. Brandon Lee, reports Android Authority.
The feature appears under the Ambient mode option on the video settings page.
The new mode is expected to control and equalize the volume in different videos.
“This could help YouTube users avoid sudden and sharp volume jumps or random volume drops when watching videos from different content providers and channels,” the report said.
It is unclear whether the feature uses artificial intelligence (AI) to identify and optimize the volume of videos.
The feature has not yet been rolled out to all YouTube users.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, the video sharing platform had announced that it was testing a new lock screen feature that would allow users to disable touch input while watching a video.
This feature helps users prevent accidental taps that pause, skip, or pause videos.
Additionally, the company tested AI-generated quizzes in the mobile app’s home feed to help users learn about topics they’re interested in watching.
