On August 29, 2022, Meta revealed its partnership with WhatsApp, enabling users to enjoy a seamless shopping experience. In a press release, Meta Platforms revealed that WhatsApp’s partnership with Jio has led to a successful collaboration in domestic retail. JioMart has seen a nearly 7-fold increase in monthly orders received through WhatsApp compared to the same period last year. It has also enabled a 6x month-on-month increase in new customer conversions on JioMart-on-WhatsApp. During this time, JioMart has also expanded its catalog on WhatsApp by adding categories like grocery, fashion and electronics.

Varaganti also announced that JioMart will soon bring the Reliance Jewels range for purchase via WhatsApp.
