Meta Launches New Features for Content Creators
Meta has unveiled fresh tools for content creators on Facebook to enhance their interaction with their audience. In June, the company introduced a revamped Reels editor, along with an Inspiration Hub and Templates Hub, which simplified the process of creating reels by providing creators with ideas and inspirations. Additionally, a Professional mode was introduced, featuring a daily checklist module with tips to assist creators in expanding their audience. Now, Meta has announced additional methods for content creators to improve audience engagement through their reels. Let’s delve deeper into these new features.
New Facebook tools
In a blog post, Meta announced the release of a new Reels A/B testing tool for Facebook. It allows content creators to test different captions and thumbnails on their mobile devices to see which one works best. Content producers can test up to four different thumbnails or captions on a mobile device, and the results are displayed in the professional dashboard. Facebook automatically displays the top performing reel, although creators can also choose one manually.
Meta also says it is experimenting with generative artificial intelligence that will help create thumbnails and captions in the future.
Additionally, content creators can easily create reels using existing video posts as well as live broadcasts. They can select “Your content inside reels” which will open the composer. They can finalize the reels before posting them on Facebook.
Dashboard update
Metalla is a professional dashboard that allows content creators to view insights, manage their platform and find resources. It has options like overview, ad center, comment management, moderation help and fan engagement tools. Meta has also now released a new achievement hub that allows creators to see achievements for training, stars, reels and progression in one place. In addition, a new achievement called “ReelsStreaks” has been introduced, which is rewarded for upgrading the reels.
The dashboard also now features a new content management tool that allows creators to see their posts, reels, and videos in one place. This can be used to perform actions such as hiding or moving to the trash.
Meta is also testing rewards for reaching various milestones on the platform. “Any creator over the age of 18 who completes the progression levels can gain more visibility in the feed or get a Rising Creator tag on their page or profile – both of which can help you get found more easily,” Meta said on its blog. .
All those who complete the progression levels can participate in new weekly challenges.
Improved insights
To empower content creators and give them an opportunity to see their engagement on Facebook, Meta publishes weekly highlights that include content performance, audience, and posting habits. Content Insights now also shows data for 90 days, which is a huge increase from the previous 28 days.
“We’ve also introduced a number of new Reels metrics in the pro dashboard, including per-reel reach broken down by followers and non-followers, a distribution score that tells you how your reel performed compared to other reels and your audience. A retention graph that shows how long your audience watched your reel and when they stopped watching it,” Meta said.
