In its latest release, Zoom has announced that it will no longer support older iOS versions, potentially rendering some iPhone models incompatible with the app. It is recommended that devices running iOS 13 or newer versions are best suited for the Zoom app. If your iPhone is not updated to iOS 13, you may not be able to use the Zoom app on it.

According to the Zoom release, the app has introduced changes including new features, updates and bug fixes. The report also highlights that the Zoom app will end support for iOS versions 11 and 12. Zoom said, “With the release scheduled for next month, iOS users will need to upgrade to iOS 13 or later to continue receiving Zoom app updates.”
Therefore, starting next month, iPhone or iPad users who cannot update their devices to iOS 13 will not be able to enjoy the Zoom app and its future updates. iOS 11 and 12 were released in 2017 and 2018, respectively, and are now considered obsolete, according to Zoom’s new update to optimize functionality and improve security measures. Zoom is now urging users to update their software to enjoy Zoom’s current and future updates. This new change will affect people who rely on older hardware as they will have to look for an iOS update or a complete hardware change.
