Apple BKC Store in Mumbai: Everything You Need to Know

The Cupertino-based tech giant said Apple BKC will serve as a dynamic space where customers can gather, explore Apple products and services, enjoy exceptional service and learn how to get more out of their devices through free Today at Apple sessions.

The Apple BKC store will open on Tuesday, April 18 at 11:00 AM IST in Mumbai. The Apple BKC store is designed to be one of the most energy-efficient Apple Store locations in the world, with its own solar panel system and zero dependence on fossil fuels in store operations.

According to the company, Apple BKC features a triangular hand-crafted wooden ceiling that extends over the glass facade below the exterior canopy and reflects the store’s unique geometry. Each tile is made of 408 pieces of wood that make up 31 modules per tile and a total of 1000 tiles that make up the roof.

There are over 450,000 individual wooden elements, all assembled in Delhi. “Upon entering the store, customers are greeted by two stone walls sourced from Rajasthan and a 14-metre stainless steel staircase connecting the ground level and the cantilevered floor,” Apple India said.

Apple BKC also offers Apple Pickup, which makes it easier for customers to order online and pick up products when it suits them best. The store has more than 100 team members who collectively speak more than 20 languages.
