Apple MacBook Pro Specifications
The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models feature a Liquid Retina XDR display with 20 percent brighter SDR content, a built-in 1080p camera, an immersive six-speaker audio system, and a wide range of connectivity options. The latest MacBook Pro models offer up to 22 hours of battery life.
Apple’s new machines now support real-time ray tracing, and Apple claims that these MacBooks, running macOS Sonoma, are optimized for gaming and can even handle new AAA games like Baldur’s Gate 3. According to Apple, the M3 chips also have a next-generation GPU that is faster and more efficient.
It includes a new technology called Dynamic Caching. Unlike traditional GPUs, dynamic cache reserves hardware local memory usage in real time.
With dynamic caching, each task consumes only the exact amount of memory. It dramatically increases the average GPU utilization, which significantly increases performance in the most demanding professional applications and games. According to the company, the new MacBook Pro models are 7.4 times faster than Intel Core i7-based MacBook Pros and 60 percent faster than the 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro.
The MacBook Pro with the M3 Pro offers even better performance, supports more unified memory and is now up to 40 percent faster than the 16-inch model with the M1 Pro, Apple said.
