Procreate Dreams is a brand new animation app packed with powerful tools that anyone can use. The application allows users to create engaging hand-drawn 2D animations and motion graphics. Art can be enhanced by adding powerful animated effects, audio and video. Procreate says: “For the first time, you can draw, animate, edit and composit in a powerful animation studio that you can take anywhere.”

Creating works of art

Procreate Dreams is equipped with hundreds of brushes to help create masterpieces. The application can be navigated with touch gestures, which can also be used to smear areas. You can also create your custom brush sets to organize your painting, sketching and drawing brushes. Existing Procreate users can import their purchased brushes into Procreate Dreams as well. It has numerous color panels such as Disc, Classic, Harmony, Value and Palette.

Animations

The app also makes animation easier as it allows users to easily add keyframes to motion and live filters. Its toolset allows you to keyframe and animate an image with Opacity, Gaussian Blur, Sharpen, Noise and HSB. Natural movement and perspective can be adjusted using the Animated Warp & Distort, Move, Scale and Rotate options.

You can also create flip books with Procreate Dreams. It also has onion skins where the color, amount and coverage can be fully customized. You can import Animation Assist from Procreate to add sound, extra tracks and more. To enhance your animations, Procreate Dreams allows you to create typography using font design, style and attributes.

Procreate says the Dreams app is powered by a next-generation painting and compositing engine and offers real-time rendering. It allows you to layer high-quality video formats, including ProRes.

Procreate Dreams costs $19.99 in the US and Rs. 1999 in India. Note that the app is only available on the iPad App Store and requires iPadOS 16.3 or later.
