Fortnite’s Upcoming Season Includes Transformers and Rideable Raptors

Fortnite fans brace yourselves as Epic Games prepares to devastate the game’s island once more. The upcoming season, named Fortnite Wilds, is set to launch on June 9th, and a cinematic trailer was unveiled during Summer Game Fest Live.

This time, Epic is renovating the island by knocking down its center and revealing a jungle. You can ride colorful velociraptors and explore ancient ruins. Mud and vines also play their role in the season. Somehow this all ties into the Transformers collaboration when Optimus Prime shows up. The new Transformers movie is in theaters this week.

There isn’t much cohesion between the jungle theme and the latest crossover, but that doesn’t matter. Millions of people are rushing to play the new season anyway. Besides, let’s face it: tearing around the island on the back of a raptor wearing an Optimus Prime skin can be fun.
