Infinix Introduces 100W Fast Charging and MagSafe Charging Similar to iPhone in Mid-Range Phone
These are exciting times for smartphone buyers, especially if you’re looking for a mid-range phone with premium features. We recently talked about the availability of wireless charging on Motorola’s mid-range 5G phone, and now another brand is pushing the envelope on high-tech features.
Infinix has announced its new Infinix Note 40 Pro series, which includes a Plus version. The new Infinix phones use MediaTek chipsets and serve both 4G and 5G networks depending on your location and budget. But the biggest update focuses on the charging technology that Infinix has been working on in-house.
Infinix 40 Pro Plus Charging Tech and MagSafe Charge
Infinix has developed its own Cheetah X1 chip, which promises to keep the temperature of the device low even while charging. The need for this chip comes after the 40 Pro Plus model has a 4,600mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 20W wireless charging, similar to iPhone’s MagSafe charging technology.
The brand claims with its fast charging technology that the phone can go from 0-50% in 12 minutes and most likely fully charged in about 20-23 minutes, as other brands claim for their fast charging phones. MagSafe is definitely an exciting addition to the mid-range lineup, allowing Android users to test its quality and performance, even if it only offers a 20W charging speed.
Other premium features offered by Infinix with the Note 40 Pro Plus include; Curved 3D display, up to 12 GB of RAM, VC liquid cooling system, two JBL tuned speakers and IP53 rating for dust and water resistance.
The less exciting aspects of the phone include the use of a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, which probably won’t break any performance standards and keeps things simple. Infinix offers the Android 14 operating system out of the box and assures that the 40 Pro series will receive 2 operating system updates and 3 years of security patches. The Infinix 40 Pro Plus is priced around Rs 25,000, making it one of the first in this range to come with some of these features.
