Amazon’s AI Chip Takes On Microsoft and Google: Cloud Computing Gets a Major Upgrade
The e-commerce giant Amazon has released two new artificial intelligence chips for its cloud services – Graviton4 and Trainium2. Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Adam Selipsky announced that Trainium2, the second generation of the chip, is designed specifically for training artificial intelligence systems. According to the company, Graviton4 processors are based on the Arm architecture and consume less energy than Intel or AMD chips.
