Ubisoft’s Guitar-Learning App Rocksmith+ to Launch on iOS and Android June 9th
This week, Ubisoft is launching its guitar-teaching app, Rocksmith+, on mobile devices. The app will be accessible on iOS and Android from June 9th, which is nine months after its release on PC. Although the company had announced the mobile app’s arrival last fall, there is still no update on when the Xbox and PlayStation versions will be released.
Rocksmith+ is designed to help people play electric, acoustic or bass guitar. Features include real-time feedback detection and feedback and coaching tools. The library now has over 6,000 titles, with more being added every month.
You need a subscription to use Rocksmith+. It costs $15 for a month, $40 for three months, and $100 for a year. A seven-day trial is available, but you’ll need to sign up for an annual plan and cancel quickly if you don’t want to continue using the app after the first week.
Ubisoft also offers a free guitar tuning app for iOS and Android. You can connect your instrument directly or use your mobile device’s microphone to make sure you’re tuned. The app has more than 30 presets, so you can try different non-standard settings.
