Unlock the Possibilities: Discover What’s New with WhatsApp Status Updates!

Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new feature that lets users filter and view status updates in a vertical list. The new improvement is useful for users who don’t follow any channels, making it easier to access muted status updates without going to a separate section via the three-dot menu.

According to a report by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the Meta-owned app is introducing a feature that allows users to filter and scroll through status updates in a vertical list. The feature is currently available to Android beta testers and users need to install update version 2.23.24.11 to use the feature.

The report also mentions that certain beta testers can test a new “See All” button to quickly see a vertical list of their status updates. In this section, some beta testers can use four filters to classify status updates more efficiently.

These filters display all status updates from their contacts, providing users with a handy feature to keep track of all updates sent by their contacts.

WhatsApp is also rolling out a new feature to view status updates from the chat screen for iOS users. This improvement allows WhatsApp to better highlight status updates in the chat list, eliminating the need to open the Updates tab to view them.

According to the report, status updates can also appear on the chat screen as the status ring now appears around the profile picture in the top app bar, making this feature even more convenient for users.

This means you’ll also quickly get status updates from your contacts when you open a conversation with them.

This improves the user experience by reducing the need to switch between tabs. It also improves communication with your contacts because you can see their status updates directly from the chat screen.
