US plans to further crack down on semiconductor making exports to China: Report
The Biden administration is looking to further tighten restrictions on exports of semiconductor manufacturing equipment to China, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
According to the report, the government has informed US companies about the plan and told them it plans to announce restrictions as early as next month.

This week, the Dutch government announced plans to impose new restrictions on semiconductor technology exports to China to protect national security.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said Thursday that China firmly opposes the restrictions as a way to “intervene and restrict normal economic and trade between Chinese and Dutch companies.”
The United States had imposed a series of export restrictions late last year, including a measure to bar China from certain semiconductor chips made around the world on U.S. equipment.
