WhatsApp Unveils Upgrades For iPhone Users – Landscape Mode, Mute Unknown Callers And More

WhatsApp, a highly popular instant messaging app, is now introducing several exciting features for iPhone users. These include the ability to transfer chats, landscape mode support for video calls, and an option to silence unknown callers.

The chat transfer feature, landscape support for video calls, and mute unknown callers option are available for iOS users who install the latest WhatsApp update from the App Store.

According to WABetaInfo, a website that follows WhatsApp, WhatsApp is adding three new features.

1) Chat Transfer Feature – This feature allows users to transfer their chat history to another iPhone. This feature finally makes it possible to transfer chat history to another iPhone without resorting to iCloud.

2) Mute Unknown Callers – According to the report, some users were able to try Mute Unknown Callers. Users can now silence unknown callers by going to Settings > Privacy > Calls.

3) Landscape Mode – This mode offers a wider and wider view of the video call interface compared to portrait mode. Specifically, it allows call participants to see multiple people on the screen at the same time, which is useful when you’re part of a large group call.

The official changelog also mentions improved navigation for a large set of avatar stickers are available.

WhatsApp is also looking to bring the ability to react to messages on channels. This feature allows users to easily respond to messages shared in a community announcement group without revealing their phone number to unknown community members.
