iMessage Support Now Available for Android Phones, Ensuring Safety
Android users want to own an iPhone, and that’s true for many out there, but now there’s a way to use one of Apple’s services on their current platform. That’s right, Apple’s iMessage is once again compatible with Android phones via the third-party Beeper Mini app. You might be wondering how many apps it takes for Android users to try Apple’s messaging app.
Recently, we had talked about the Sunbird app which also has the same modus operandi, but the app was supposed to reveal personalintricate-informative-informed app app that the app developer shut down its iMessage-enabled app for Android phones.
Beeper Mini appears to be a more secure version of iMessage for Android, which means all your data is safe and you don’t have to worry about the app shutting down at a moment’s notice. The makers of Beeper Mini claim to have translated iMessage to work on Android phones without losing its end-to-end encryption protection.
The team also notes that it has reportedly jailbroken the iPhone to read the operating system code and write code to the Beeper Mini from scratch, making it as secure and versatile as the original iMessage. This level of protection also ensures that the Beeper Mini cannot read your messages, phone number or even your Apple ID.
iMessage App for Android Phones: How it Works
Beeper Mini can be downloaded from the Play Store and then you need to sign in to the app with your Google account. Google asks you to grant permissions to the app so that it can work effectively. But this is where the process of using Beeper Mini gets interesting. The application offers two options: you can log in to the application using your Apple ID and have the messages synced to all devices linked to the account. Or you can use your phone number to sign in, but you can’t use them across devices.
Despite this, the app still needs your primary number to run on your Android phone, possibly for authentication purposes. Beeper MINi does a good job of imitating iMessage for Android users, but still you don’t have support for features like FaceTime, live location sharing, and a few others. What you can use in Beeper Mini are threads, replies, read receipts, direct messages and more.
Most people use WhatsApp to send messages, especially those with an Android phone, but it’s good to have the option to use or at least experience iMessage on non-Apple devices.
