Report: China Prohibits Government PCs from Using Intel and AMD Chips
(Reuters) – China has introduced guidelines to phase out U.S. Intel and AMD microprocessors from state-owned personal computers and servers, the Financial Times reported on Sunday. Procurement guidance also aims to ignore Microsoft’s Windows operating system and foreign database software in favor of domestic alternatives, the report states.
