Apple to Unveil New Products at Upcoming ‘Scary Fast’ Event on October 30

Apple has had a remarkable year with an increased number of device launches compared to previous years. In June, the company introduced the latest operating systems, a new 15-inch MacBook Air, and the Vision Pro, their inaugural spatial computer. Following that, at the Wonderlust event on September 12, the Cupertino-based tech giant revealed the iPhone 15 series and new Apple Watches. However, there has been one notable absence thus far – new Macs.

Since its release 13 years ago, there hasn’t been a year when the Mac lineup hasn’t been updated. While it was initially believed that Apple could break this streak in 2023, that is no longer the case as the tech giant has announced a ‘Scary Fast’ event to be held on October 30 at 5:00 PM PT/5:30 AM IST.

Here’s everything that can be announced at the Apple event.

Apple’s ‘Scary Fast’ event: All the expected announcements

MacBooks are expected to be the center of attention at the ‘Scary Fast’ event. It has been rumored for some time that Apple is planning to unveil its next chipset, the M3, and could showcase its capabilities during the “Scary Fast” event. Apple’s M3 range, which can include four versions – M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max and M3 Ultra.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously noted that Apple was internally testing an M3-powered iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and other Macs, but none of them saw the light of day at the September 12 Wonderlust event. Apple may introduce M3-powered devices during the October event.

It’s also possible that a new 24-inch iMac could also be introduced, as reports suggest it’s been in the works for some time.

Can iPads be announced?

A few days ago, a report surfaced claiming that Apple could expand its iPad lineup by announcing new iPads on October 17th. Although that didn’t happen, the Cupertino-based tech giant announced a new and cheaper alternative to the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation. No iPad-related announcement is expected at Scary Fast, as Gurman claims Apple is planning a 2024 release for its iPads, including the iPad Mini, iPad Air, and iPad 11th Generation.

Note that all information is based on unofficial reports and should be taken with a grain of salt until Apple receives official confirmation, which is expected to be at the “Scary Fast” event on October 30.
