Slack integrates GIFs

Slack officially announced the integration of GIFs into its tool via X-message. The GIF Finder feature allows users to choose the perfect GIF from a variety of options. Slack’s new GIF feature is powered by Tenor, a GIF search engine now owned by Google. It gives users millions of GIFs to share to express their feelings and emotions. A Slack X post said: “Looking for the perfect GIF? We’ll help you find it in no time. Starting today, you can choose GIFs directly from the post author!

It’s now easier for Slack users to share GIFs than the previous GIPHY feature. To find GIFs in Slack, by opening a specific chat and clicking on the emoji icon, you’ll find a new GIF tab. You can use the ones that come up in front of you or simply search based on what kind of feelings you want to share. The new feature allows users to browse thousands of GIFs from the integrated Google GIF search engine. The feature is quite similar to other messaging apps like WhatsApp that have integrated GIF features. According to a ZDNet report, the Slack GIF Finder is rolling out now and will be available on all your devices by the end of this month. Therefore, if you don’t have it yet, you’ll soon see it in your Slack message.
