‘Release of ‘Alan Wake II’ Pushed Back to October 27th’

The release date for Alan Wake II has been delayed by 10 days to October 27th, according to Remedy Entertainment and publisher Epic Games. The decision does not seem to be solely based on allowing more time for game polishing. A tweet from the Alan Wake Twitter account states that the shift in date is intended to provide more room for players to enjoy their favorite games, considering the abundance of game launches in October. Today, Sony revealed the lineup of games for PlayStation Plus in July. The games featured are Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered, and Endling – Extinction is Forever. Subscribers on the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers will have access to these titles on both PS5 and PS4. After much anticipation, the sequel to Alan Wake is confirmed to be released in October. During Summer Game Fest Live, Remedy creative director Sam Lake provided additional information and showcased fresh gameplay footage. Remedy’s first survival horror game features two main characters. Newcomer Saga Anderson, an FBI agent, joins Alan Wake this time. Lake revealed that there will be a 50-50 split between each character’s story.
