Turn 10 and Hutch Join Forces to Create a Mobile Game Focused on Car Customization

Turn 10, the creator of Forza Motorsport, has partnered with Hutch, the developer of F1 Clash, to develop a new mobile game. The game will concentrate on providing a car customization experience that caters to a wide range of mobile users. The companies have not yet disclosed the game’s title or release date.

The companies have been negotiating a joint project since 2020. The goal is to leverage Forza’s “world-leading gameplay and visual style” as well as Hutch’s experience in mobile live operations. The partnership is rooted in “the desire of both companies to create a platform-leading car gaming experience,” they said.

UK-based Hutch is perhaps best known as the developer of F1 Clash, originally called F1 Manager. However, it offers other car games including Top Drives, Hot Wheels Race Off and the discontinued Race Kings. Turn 10 is of course known for the Forza racing series, which was first released in 2005. Its latest installment, Forza Motorsport, arrives on October 10th.

The only previous Forza mobile title was Forza Street, essentially a remake of Miami Street from Electric Square. It was shut down last year after its launch in May 2020. In F1 Clash, Hutch has experience in car customization, allowing players to tweak and upgrade cars as part of race management decisions.
