Unlock the Possibilities: Here’s the Full List of Pre-Installed Apps on OnePlus’ Open Foldable Phone!

The OnePlus Open is one of the most expensive foldable phones you can buy on the market, and even then, it’s cheaper than what Samsung charges for its Galaxy Z Fold 5 phone. However, the company surprised many people before the launch by confirming that its most expensive product will come with preloaded apps.

After taking a look at the OnePlus foldable device and going through the list of apps preloaded on the device, we finally found that it has Facebook, Netflix and even the Meta Installer app running on the OxygenOS version obtained with OnePlus Open. box.

OnePlus defended its decision to preload apps on its foldable device, which is priced at Rs 1,39,900 in markets like India. With the introduction of OnePlus Open, we have worked closely with several mainstream app developers to ensure that their apps are compatible with our new foldable design for a better user experience,” OnePlus said recently.

This is not the first time that OnePlus has offered Meta products in its phones. OnePlus had done this with the OnePlus 8 series, which was launched in 2020, but was later removed from subsequent generations. But it looks like the company, now working with Oppo, has decided to bring these apps back to the platform, which might not please people looking to buy a high-end OnePlus foldable.

While Facebook and Netflix can be uninstalled, you cannot do so with Meta Installer and Meta App Manager added to the device’s application settings. On top of that, you have apps like Theme Store, Games, and a few others that are notorious for pushing ads if you don’t disable their notifications.

As we’ve said before, if other premium brands like Samsung can be grilled for pushing preloaded ads, OnePlus deserves a diamond for it, too, even though it claims apps have been offered to provide a seamless user experience on its foldable device.
