Apple Discontinues MacBook Pro Model, No Regrets From Consumers

Apple introduced new M3 chipsets, along with MacBook Pro models and iMacs this week, but the new products mean Apple has had to move some older Macs off the market. This week’s release marks the end of the 13-inch MacBook Pro model, which was one of the few Touch Bar versions that offered soft-touch keys for controls at the top of the MacBook’s keyboard layout.

With this move, Apple has managed to get rid of the 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro entirely, but the abandonment of the Touch Bar model has clearly not caused any discontent among the public, in fact, most people are not even sad to see it go.

Apple has decided that instead of keeping the 13-inch version, it will offer the new 14-inch M3 MacBook Pro at a lower price of $1,499, making it just as attractive to buyers who like the latest technology. The Touch Bar was Apple trying something different, and to be honest, it was exciting in the early days.

But the reviews of the 13-inch MacBook Pro clearly gave us the full picture when it came to the Touch Bar’s shortcomings, which explains why no one really freaks out when they see Apple unplug the model. Apple tends to push more products into oblivion, and some of them end up on the vintage list, meaning the products no longer receive official Apple support.

That being said, we never expected a MacBook Pro with Touch Bar to make it to the prestigious list, and this week’s brutal slaughter clearly proves that and Apple’s opinion of the product. So the popularity of the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar will be remembered for its faulty magic keyboard and Apple is clearly trying to erase the product from its history with this decision
